The Honor Network takes great honor to memorialize all of those
heroes that give the ultimate sacrifice fighting for their country
and communities. "It truly touches the deepest emotions when a
volunteer, one who does not ask for pay, one who does it for the
love, is killed in the line of duty. Volunteers 'donate' time from
their personal lives to serve their community and country. This
type of unselfish and courageous service to a community is what
makes this country great," said Chris Heisler, President and CEO
         of TheHonorNetwork.org.

58 Firefighters in the United States have made the ultimate
sacrifice so far in 2008. This is the second Firefighter loss
         this year in Texas.
