The University of Arizona Renews Partnership With Paciolan

Achieves 100 Percent "Paperless" Season Ticket Renewals for Soccer, Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Basketball

IRVINE, CA and TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwire - Sep 22, 2011) - Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing and fundraising solutions in college athletics, announced today that the University of Arizona (UA) has renewed its partnership and has extended the company's Access Management scanning to all Wildcat fans for football. Leveraging the Paciolan system, UA achieved 100 percent "paperless" season ticket renewals for soccer, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball. The partnership also yielded UA a 36:1 return on advertising spend from a recent retargeting campaign geared to season ticket holders. UA has partnered with Paciolan since 1984.

"Paciolan understands our business and what we want to accomplish with our athletics initiatives," said James Francis, senior associate director of athletics, external operations for the University of Arizona. "We're looking forward to expanding the ticket services we provide to make our processes more efficient and to better serve our customers."

Leveraging the Paciolan system, UA has succeeded in achieving 100 percent "paperless" season ticket renewals for soccer, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball. In 2011, UA saw a significant increase in men's basketball online renewals -- 91 percent -- up from 70 percent in 2010. These online renewal achievements have helped increase efficiencies at the McKale Ticket Office and saved significant time processing paper-based applications.

"We no longer have to spend time calling people or running down payments. It makes a huge difference. In fact, I've saved over a week's worth of work by moving this process online," said Beth Megerle, associate athletics director for customer relations management and ticket sales for the University of Arizona.

With the renewed Paciolan partnership, UA will extend its Access Management scanning and print-at-home to all Arizona Wildcat fans. UA also added digital ticketing for football making it 100 percent for both basketball and football. This means that ticket holders of these sports will soon have the option of transferring unused tickets to family or friends, and reselling tickets by leveraging Paciolan's Ticket Marketplace.

"We're very excited to utilize Access Management scanning," added Megerle. "With digital ticketing, we're able to provide our season ticket holders, many of whom support multiple sports, the added benefit of reselling or transferring tickets. Also, our client partner regularly communicates industry best practices and strategies geared to our business model. This helps us develop programs to achieve our goals."

"Over the past 27 years, it has been exciting to watch the University of Arizona grow its athletics initiatives using our ticketing, marketing and fundraising systems," said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. "By extending our Access Management scanning and adding digital ticketing, we are committed to continue supporting this successful trend."
