The Used Kick Into High Gear in 2007

Band Are in the Studio Recording Third Album Due in April and Set to Headline Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour Beginning February 15th; New Live CD/DVD, "Berth," in Stores February 6th

BURBANK, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 3, 2007 -- Orem, Utah's favorite sons The Used have big plans for 2007, including the April release of their as-yet-untitled third album for Reprise Records, which they have been recording in Los Angeles with producer John Feldmann (The Matches, Goldfinger, Story of the Year). The album is the follow-up to 2004's Top 10, gold-certified "In Love and Death."

In addition, The Used will showcase its combustible live show with the February 6th release of "Berth," a live CD + DVD recorded and shot during the band's headlining tour in Vancouver, BC. The package updates The Used's history since the 2003 video-platinum CD + DVD set "Maybe Memories," with footage about the making of "In Love and Death," the subsequent world tour, and the making of the current album, as well as music videos of the Top 15 Modern Rock hits "Take It Away" and "All That I've Got." The DVD will also give fans a taste of the upcoming album with a video montage to a new song. Starting the first week of January, fans will be able to pre-order the "Berth" CD/DVD bundled with an exclusive t-shirt only available through their webstore:

To top it off, The Used -- which features vocalist Bert McCracken, guitarist Quinn Allman, and bassist Jeph Howard -- will headline the third annual Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, which launches February 15th in Seattle. The Used will be joined by 30 Seconds to Mars, Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Aiden, Evaline, and others for this highly popular worldwide lifestyle festival that showcases a who's who of young, loud, aggressive bands. Tickets are currently on sale at and the usual outlets.
