The Viterra 2012 Canadian Gymnastics Championships

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - May 18, 2012) - Ms. Klara Kesmarky Miller, CEO Gymnastics Saskatchewan and Event Chair of 2012 Canadian Gymnastics Championships, along with Mr. Mayo Schmidt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Viterra (TSX:VT) (ASX:VTA), are pleased to officially announce the commencement of the Viterra 2012 Canadian Gymnastics Championships from May 22 - 26.

The competition, featuring the top gymnasts in Canada, will be held at the Credit Union Eventplex/ Evraz Place in Regina, and for only the second time in history, will host all four disciplines of gymnastics: Men's and Women's Artistic, Trampoline and Tumbling and Rhythmic.

"We are proud to host all four disciplines of gymnastics under one roof once again," said Ms. Miller, Event Chair. "This is a historic moment not only for the competition, but for the athletes as well."

The top Canadian gymnasts will be competing in the event, which will help define the team selected to represent Canada at the London Olympics in August. Notable athletes competing include Karen Cockburn, a three time Olympic medalist, looking for a 4^th Olympic medal in London this summer, and both Anderson Loran and Jayd Lukenchuk, Saskatchewan Senior National team members and international medalists. Each will be vying for medals with other top Canadian athletes throughout the competition.

This is also the first year Viterra is the presenting sponsor of the event. Over 1,000 athletes, coaches and officials will travel to Regina to compete for the right to be considered the best gymnasts in Canada, along with over 800 volunteers throughout the competition. "Without volunteers, great sponsors and community support events like this cannot happen," said Ms. Miller.

Day passes for the championships will be available at the door only. From Tuesday to Friday the cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. For the finals on Saturday, the prices are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
