The Walking Company Holdings, Inc. to Emerge From Bankruptcy in April

Confirmation Hearing Scheduled for April 23, 2010

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - March 22, 2010) -  The Walking Company Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WALK) (www.thewalkingcompany.comwww.bigdogs.com) announced today that the confirmation hearing to emerge from chapter 11 bankruptcy protection is scheduled for April 23, 2010. The Company expects their reorganization plan to be confirmed and the funding for reorganization to be closed in order to emerge from bankruptcy early in the week of April 26.

Working closely with its bank, landlords, vendors, and shareholders since filing in December of 2009, the Company has been able to restructure its balance sheet and long-term financial obligations. As a result, the Company submitted a reorganization plan to keep 207 of its 214 current store locations open and pay off all of its debts and future obligations to trade creditors.
