THE WEEK Launches iPhone and Android App on The Zumobi Network

Lincoln Is Exclusive Launch Sponsor

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 1, 2011) - On the heels of TheWeek.com surpassing 7 million unique visitors for the first time during the month of March, an increase of 51% over March 2010, THE WEEK today announced the launch of its iPhone and Android app on The Zumobi Network. Created with Zumobi, a premium mobile app network that publishes and monetizes branded media apps, THE WEEK's app is free to download, courtesy of an exclusive launch sponsorship by Lincoln.

"We're delighted that our readers will now be able to access content from TheWeek.com directly from their mobile device," said Deidre Depke, General Manager of Digital for THE WEEK. "THE WEEK's mobile app will allow readers to get perspective, context and clarity around the latest stories when they are on the go."

The scroll bar at the top of THE WEEK's app interface allows users to easily browse articles in different categories. These categories include: latest news, editor's choice, news, business, and the arts. TheWeek.com's popular cartoon feature is also available with pinch-and-zoom functionality. The app is wired for the social graph, including saving and sharing capabilities, giving readers the ability to save articles and cartoons for viewing later or to share them using Twitter, Facebook or e-mail.

"On The Zumobi Network we've found news apps to be top performers with impressive engagement levels. THE WEEK, one of the most successful news and opinion brands in today's marketplace, will enhance our portfolio of news apps on our network," said Ken Willner, CEO of Zumobi. "Our repeat advertising client, Lincoln, also recognizes the value of THE WEEK's content and we're thrilled that they are joining us for another app launch."

THE WEEK's new app offers compelling sponsorship opportunities through Zumobi's proprietary, "app-within-an-app" rich media advertising platform, BrandBlast.

THE WEEK's app is available for free in Apple's App Store and the Android Marketplace as a part of The Zumobi Network, a premium publisher of smartphone apps. The Zumobi Network offers a variety of entertaining, informative and useful mobile media applications to enjoy on next-generation smartphones.
