The World Poker Store's Bar Poker League Opens in Florida

ST. PAUL, MN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 13, 2007 -- The World Poker Store Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WPKS), based out of St. Paul, Minnesota, recently launched Bar Poker League operations in Florida with a schedule of over 20 tournaments per week and growing. As the first of five regions to open in The Sunshine State, the Southwest region launched last week with tournaments in Fort Myers, Estero, Naples and Marco Island with future tournaments covering the entire coastal region stretching from Hernando County to Collier County. After securing tournament sites in the Southwest, the company will launch regions in Central and Southeast Florida as well as two regions in the north all the way through the Florida Panhandle. The Bar Poker League expansion will continue to other states over the coming year all with the coveted World Series of Poker Main Event Seats or similar event seats featured as the State Championship prize. The League point system will also continue to drive frequent play and participation by the league players as league points are awarded at all host sites nationwide so players may continue to build points no matter where they play. In the coming months, the company also plans to roll out a Reward Point program as an extension of the current $200 nightly prize package for each tournament. Bar Poker League play is currently approved for 24 states; future state rollouts are scheduled for Wisconsin, North Dakota and Arizona.

The World Poker Store Inc. hosts over 100 free weekly Texas Hold 'em tournaments at bars and restaurants in both Minnesota and Florida through its events division and The Bar Poker League.
