The X PRIZE Foundation Appoints Jon Bonanni to Vice President of Partnerships

Former Disney Executive to Cultivate Strategic Relationships to Support Foundation's Mission

PLAYA VISTA, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 9, 2011) - The X PRIZE Foundation announced today that Jon Bonanni has joined the Foundation as the Vice President of Partnerships. In his role, Bonanni will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic relationships with corporate partners. Drawing on his vast business development experience, Bonanni will help the Foundation maximize its relationships with both current and future partners and better support the Foundation's mission of creating radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.

Bonanni brings more than 20 years of experience working with large, global brands in a range of advertising, marketing, account management and business development roles to the X PRIZE Foundation.

Before joining X PRIZE, Bonanni was Vice President of Business Development in The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Alliances group where he was responsible for driving value across multiple Disney divisions including the development of sponsored attractions and experiences at Disney Parks around the world in conjunction with companies like Sony, Fed Ex, IBM, AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, Coca-Cola, General Motors, Kodak, and Siemens. Additionally, Bonanni brings more than ten years of strategic relationship management experience through positions of increasing responsibilities at a number of New York advertising agencies including a role in launching M&C Saatchi's office there. He was also the head of marketing at InterZine, Inc., an AOL-backed internet start-up which was acquired by Times Mirror. Bonanni has a degree in English Literature from St. Lawrence University in New York.
