In early 2011, the company was conceived after the six-year-old daughter of TheGivingOffice.com President, Curtis Dadian, was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of soft-tissue cancer. Since Dadian's young daughter's cancer was so rare it was difficult to find the answers he and his family were looking for from the medical community. The charitable organizations the family interacted with were incredibly helpful and provided invaluable information during this time. With the realization of just how important such foundations are to families and individuals in need, Dadian wanted to find a way to give back.
