Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston Tour Construction Site of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - June 16, 2011) - The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) invites media to a photo opportunity upon the arrival of Their Excellencies, prior to their tour of the CMHR construction site.

Construction on the CMHR began in April 2009 and much progress has been made on the project since that time. Mr. Stuart Murray, CMHR President and Chief Executive Officer will provide Their Excellencies a presentation that will focus on the Museum's aspirations, progress and future plans. Following the presentation, Their Excellencies will tour the construction site of the CMHR.

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston is Canada's 28th Governor General since Confederation and serves as Honourary Patron of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
