TheRealPele.com Documents the Life of Soccer Legend, Pele, During the 2014 World Cup

SANTOS, BRAZIL and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 9, 2014) - Juquiá Productions and Kely Nascimento-DeLuca, daughter of the greatest soccer player of all time, today launched TheRealPelé.com in partnership with Legends 10, the exclusive global agent to Pelé. An intimate project between Pelé and Kely, TheRealPelé.com blog will feature daily video episodes, Instagram photos and a dedicated Facebook and Twitter feed throughout the 2014 World Cup taking place in their homeland of Brazil. From June 9 through July 13, this one-of-a-kind series gives soccer fans across the globe unprecedented access into Pelé's public and private life during this historic moment in time. TheRealPelé.com is co-produced by Atari CEO, Frederic Chesnais and co-directed by Justin Noto.

A press launch will take place on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 11am-2pm UCT at Casa Pelé do Futebol, a temporary events installation at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo. The event will feature concerts, performances, exhibitions and viewing parties of matches throughout the duration of the tournament.

"This is an incredibly important time for my father, for my family, and for Brazil. My father was not born in an era where celebrities gave the world access to their personal lives, and he's always been extremely private. I want to surprise the world by showing the intimate side of my father," said Kely. "He is looking forward to sharing this emotional time with his fans, and I too am passionate about his journey. While Pelé is well known for his on-field career accomplishments, Kely is giving the world exclusive access into her father's personal and family life. This five-week video blog, TheRealPelé.com, will chronicle Pelé's journey during the 2014 World Cup -- including where he is watching the game, reaction to game outcomes, and his personal thoughts on teams, players and coaches. It also offers soccer enthusiasts an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look into Pelé's public appearances, his role as global ambassador for the sport, and his interactions with players, fans and sponsors.

A true soccer legend, Pelé's career accolades include three World Cups, two Intercontinental Cups, being named the Olympic Committee Athlete of the Century (1999), and receiving the FIFA Ballon d'Or Prix d'Honneur in 2014.
