Thermal Energy's FLU-ACE'R' for Pulp and Paper Showcased at EXFOR'R' 2006, innovative Waste Heat Recovery, Energy Cost Reduction Solution to be Presented at Giant Expo

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 6, 2006) - Thermal Energy International Inc., (TSX VENTURE:TMG) (the "Company," is pleased to announce its breakthrough FLU-ACE® installation at Minas Basin Pulp and Power Co. is the focus of a joint presentation here at EXFOR® 2006 tomorrow.

The presentation Paper Machine Heat Recovery Revisited - a New Era which will detail how Thermal Energy's FLU-ACE® system will be used for the first time in the pulp and paper industry to capture waste heat exhaust and reduce fuel costs by millions of dollars.

Robert Triebe, Thermal's Lead Project Development Engineer, will join lead presenter Peter Cherry, of Johnson Controls L.P., and Terry Gerhardt, of Minas Basin Pulp and Power Co., of Hantsport, Nova Scotia, on the panel.

"We are very pleased to have this opportunity to showcase our FLU-ACE® solution at the premiere gathering of the pulp and paper industry," said Tim Angus, Thermal Energy President and CEO. "Our project at Minas Basin is proceeding as planned and on budget.

"We are very excited about being able to have a working showcase of this tremendous energy reduction solution for the pulp and paper industry - a market we consider to have enormous potential for Thermal Energy," said Mr. Angus. The construction of the FLU-ACE ® tower is complete and was delivered to Minas Basin last week for the start of installation.

EXFOR is the world's largest technology trade show for the pulp and paper industry. It is held annually in Montreal as part of PaperWeek - the sector's landmark event and a focal point of this year's 92nd Annual Conference of the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC) which is expected to draw more than 6,000 delegates.

Thermal Energy has also been invited to present later this spring at Le Congres CFP (Congress CFP - Carton, Fibre, Paper), the annual gathering of Quebec's pulp and paper makers from May 3 to 5, 2006 in Quebec City. Further details will be announced later.
