Thesys Awards "Innovation Journalists" and Offers Free Grant-Writing Guidance at ISTE Conference This Month

Thesys International Will Share Video Cameras With Attendees to Document Blended Learning Innovations and Offer One-on-One Appointments With an Educational Grant-Writing Expert

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 14, 2012) - Thesys International, an education technology business that supports schools with a hybrid online/classroom approach to education, will highlight its commitment to innovation at the ISTE Conference (http://www.isteconference.org/2012/) in San Diego this month with an "Innovation Journalist" promotion and an iPad giveaway. In addition to its exhibit at Booth #5725, Thesys will distribute Flip video cameras to attendees to document the most innovative ideas they can find at the conference. The winning "journalist" will receive an Apple 32GB iPad. Attendees are also invited to "Permission Granted," where they can meet one-on-one with a professional educational grant-writing expert for individual guidance.

Thesys' idea is to empower conference attendees to explore, investigate and discover the best innovations and share them with others. These Thesys "news hawks" will be outfitted with a Thesys media badge and video camera to document their two-hour adventures. When they return to Booth 5725, Thesys will turn the cameras back on the attendees, interviewing them about what they've discovered about blended learning, which innovations could be incorporated into blended learning, which innovations they like best and what resonated most with them about the conference.

Winners will be selected by Thesys International and the Fairmont Education Group marketing staff. Semifinalists will be announced July 3, 2012, and the winner of the iPad will be announced on July 9, 2012.

Thesys will also produce a "Permission Granted" program in which a professional educational grant specialist will spend a day at Thesys' booth discussing grants that are currently available to educators. Attendees can book free appointments, held Monday between 12-4 p.m., to evaluate what grants best fit their needs, gather tips on securing grants, and to get started with the grant-writing process. Appointments are limited; attendees are encouraged to set their one-on-one appointment with Thesys' grant specialist in advance by contacting Paul Rideau at 714-234-2721.

The grants and pilot programs secured at the conference through "Permission Granted" will be documented on the Thesys blog to help others learn from the educational grant process. The blog will also highlight the five most important keys to securing an educational grant.
