Thirstie Enters Luxury Booze Market, Partners With Caskers Exclusively for Delivery and Discovery of Craft Spirits

Caskers to Provide Rare Spirits Through Thirstie's Digital Magazine via In-Content Purchases

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2016) - Thirstie, leading alcohol discovery-to-delivery service, announced today an exclusive partnership with Caskers, the go-to alcohol delivery company for top-tier craft and rare spirits. In addition to providing expert commentary on luxury alcohol for Thirstie's digital magazine, The Craft, Caskers will fulfill the high-end alcohol orders made directly within the content.

"We're excited to marry our passion for well-made spirits with Thirstie's high-quality content, expanding access to luxury liquors to even more consumers. Through this partnership, we hope to allow users to discover unique bottles that they otherwise would not have had access to," says Steve Abt, CEO of Caskers.

While most on-demand alcohol delivery services focus on mainstream alcohol brands, the partnership with Caskers brings consumers with expensive and rare taste into the alcohol delivery fold. Thirstie currently delivers through retail partners in over 22 cities in the United States and Canada. With Caskers, customers in 35 states will have access to luxury booze they can purchase directly in-content after reading about it on The Craft. This increases customer reach from 20 million to 200 million including popular suburbs and other underserved markets. This creates a discovery-focused shopping experience introducing users to brands that may not be locally available to them.

"Most alcohol delivery companies focus on mainstream or recognizable beers, wines and liquors," states Devaraj Southworth, co-founder and CEO of Thirstie. "While the everyday drinker is certainly a key customer for Thirstie, we're excited to partner with Caskers to bring high-end liquor to both beginners and experienced drinkers. Through the content we will create together, we hope to inspire and educate users to step outside of their taste comfort zone."

Since November 2014, Thirstie has experienced 34% month-over-month customer growth and now serves 22+ markets, with Ontario being the latest expansion. Average order growth has increased 41% with an average order size upwards of $75 and 60% repeat usage. In addition, Thirstie's mobile app is consistently ranked in the Top 100 apps in the Food & Beverage category in the iTunes storefront, receiving over 30,000 monthly downloads.
