This #GivingTuesday Donate to the Movember Foundation and Change the Face of Men's Health

Donate Today and Help Fund Programs That Address Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Poor Mental Health and Physical Inactivity

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - December 01, 2015) - The Movember Foundation, one of the largest global men's health charities investing in programs to address prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity, is putting out a call for final donations at Movember.com this #GivingTuesday. This year, not only was the moustache back and better than ever, but men and women were also able participate by signing up to MOVE, the Movember Foundation's 30-day fitness challenge that invites participants to carry out 30 physical activities in 30 days.

Since Movember's inception, more than five million men and women in 21 countries have participated in the movement, helping raise $650+ million and fund 1,000+ programs. The Movember community has once again shined a spotlight on men's health, transcending casual discussions about moustache growth into serious conversations about prostate cancer, testicular cancer, men's mental health and physical activity. In the United States, participants have been raising money and awareness for the past 30 days with the New York Movember network having raised more than $1 million, beating networks in Los Angeles, Chicago and the Bay Area!

As Movember participants wrap up their fundraising efforts, they are making one final call for donations this #GivingTuesday, asking friends, family and supporters to donate to the Foundation at Movember.com/donate or purchase collaborative merchandise through Movember's online store. This year, supporters can power up their donations if they use Visa Checkout and by doing so help the Foundation earn up to $1 million in additional funds. From now until December 6, Visa will match up to $25 of each valid donation -- all you have to do is select the Visa Checkout option when donating at Movember.com!

"The Movember Foundation has been thrilled by this year's campaign and we would like to thank everyone who participated. Our fantastic Mo community joined together to grow some spectacular moustaches, execute thousands of MOVEs and most importantly, raise vital funds and awareness for very important men's health issues," said Mark Hedstrom, U.S. Country Director at the Movember Foundation. "As with every year, our aim is to not only start conversations about testicular and prostate cancer, poor mental health and physical well-being, but encourage men worldwide to prioritize their health. There is still time to have an everlasting impact on men's health this Giving Tuesday by donating at Movember.com."

Supporters can also directly donate to a variety of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas including former Bachelorette rivals Shawn Booth and Nick Viall who have partnered up to grow awesome moustaches in a bid to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues. Shawn joined the Movember Foundation this year after seeing how prostate cancer directly affected his family members. Help them reach their $100,000 fundraising goal by donating to http://moteam.co/shawn-b-nick-v.

The Movember campaign has even brought together your favorite television enemies -- Pablo Escobar and Steve Murphy. That's right, Netflix's "Narcos" characters Pablo, Steve, Gustavo Gaviria and Javier Peña have partnered to raise awareness for men's health. Help the guys with some of the most powerful moustaches in the world multiply their donation at http://moteam.co/team-narcos.

For sports fans, a rivalry is also brewing between New Jersey Devils centerman Adam Henrique and New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist, with Adam leading in his fundraising efforts. • Sandy Goodman is an eight-year Mo Bro who has a personal connection to this cause as his father-in-law recently passed away after an eight-year battle with prostate cancer. Let's help him reach his $70,000 goal by donating at http://mobro.co/sandy.
  • Chris Geschke was diagnosed with testicular cancer six years ago and since then has become a dedicated Mo Bro, using his moustache to spark conversations about men's health and promote early detection. You can help him with his fundraising goal by donating at http://mobro.co/Mophio.
