Seminar: The Making of the 1% Book with Myles Little
Monday, February 22nd, 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Join photographer and TIME Magazine Senior Photo Editor Myles Little as he talks about his traveling photography exhibit and book One Percent: Privilege in a Time of Global Inequality. Myles will discuss the origins of the project, the thought process behind his photo choices, the 15-venue world tour, and other subtopics. He will also share some truly shocking statistics about global wealth inequality.

The Huffington Post dubbed Myles Little "a rising leader and visionary in the industry." Myles has produced numerous award-winning covers and features with many of the best photographers in the world. He also curates photography exhibits and lectures on photography internationally.

Seminar: Photo Brigade with Mickey Osterreicher
Tuesday, February 23rd, 3pm - 4pm

Join host Robert Caplin and National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) lawyer Mickey Osterreicher as they discuss drones, copyright access, the 1st Amendment, and more. Attendees can watch the seminar live at the Adorama in-store event space or tune in at  

Mickey serves as general counsel to the NPPA and is a member of the New York State Bar Association Media Law Committee. He is also an award-winning photojournalist with nearly 40 years of experience in print and broadcast media. As an attorney, Mickey has been actively involved in such issues as cameras in the courtroom, the federal shield law, drone photography, and copyright infringement.

Panel Discussion: The Art of the Film Festival with StoryForward
Wednesday, February 24th, 6pm - 8pm

Interested in submitting a film to a film festival? Join Adorama and StoryForward NYC for an evening that explores the insider secrets and harsh realities of the film festival circuit. Attendees can engage with veteran filmmakers, film strategists, and festival programmers. The complex task of preparing and submitting work to film festivals, as well as programming, will be carefully outlined.

Panelists include Terra Renee (founder and president of African American Women In Cinema Organization, Inc.), Ingrid Jean-Baptiste (founder and executive director of Chelsea Film Festival), Gabrielle Kelly (filmmaker, producer, and strategist), and Jim Jermanok (award-winning writer, director, and producer).

Live Demonstration: Night Sky Photography with Stan Honda
Sunday, February 28th, 11am - 3pm

Renowned photojournalist Stan Honda will show attendees how to capture the beauty of the night sky. Stan will walk attendees through the different techniques and camera settings for taking amazing DSLR photos of the Milky Way and other celestial bodies. He will also discuss how to plan shoots using software and apps, and a short tutorial will be presented on how to best process the resulting images on a computer.

Stan has 34 years of experience in photojournalism and is a National Park Service artist-in-residence in four national parks. Over the past few years, he has been focusing on wide-angle night sky landscapes and other astronomical images.

Live Demonstration: Vendor Day with Steven Rossi
Monday, February 29th, 3pm - 7pm

Photographer Steven Rossi will showcase an array of essential photographic gear by BlackRapid Straps, Hoodman, and Photoflex. Steven will demonstrate Hoodman's Anti-Glare Products and Steel Memory Cards, as well as Photoflex's Light Modifiers. Aside from product demonstrations, Steven will show the best way to set up for portraits-on-the-go, and attendees are invited to bring their cameras and take shots with Steve.

Steven is a portrait and nature photographer with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He represents BlackRapid, Hoodman, and Photoflex in New York City.
