Seminar: Gear Up With Bruce Byers
Wednesday, March 9th, 2pm - 4pm

Bruce Byers has been traveling the world to fulfill photographic commissions for clients for over 35 years. He is familiar with the trial-and-error process of bringing the correct photography gear for long trips. In this seminar, Bruce will show participants what gear is necessary to get those once-in-a-lifetime travel images. He will also share valuable tips that will help photographers get the most out of their photographic trips.

Bruce, along with William Vazquez, co-founded Camera Voyages, an organization of professional photographers who lead groups of photographers on immersive photographic travel experiences in exotic countries. Camera Voyages is committed to helping photographers move beyond the limitations of being a tourist to becoming emphatic and embedded in local cultures.

Aside from being a seasoned commercial photographer, Bruce is also a respected educator. He has taught at New York University and Peters Valley Workshops, and he has led many photography workshops in Cuba.

"As a photojournalist, I have been telling the poignant stories of the people I have met throughout my life through the lens of my camera. I also set up workshops to help other photographers learn how to communicate visual stories through their love of art and photography. William Vazquez and I have created Camera Voyages to introduce people to new areas of the world through the highly personal lens of the camera," says Bruce.
