Thomas, Townsend & Kent Offers New Selects for Its Popular List of Cruise Travel Prospects

New Selects Expand Upon the Destination Interests of Consumers Planning to Cruise

CHICAGO, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 19, 2005 -- With cruise lines launching new ships, programs and itineraries in 2005, database marketing firm Thomas, Townsend & Kent (TTK) has expanded the selects available for its popular list of travelers planning cruise vacations.

Chicago-based TTK compiled this list of cruise enthusiasts via its online survey mechanisms, including www.statetourismboard.com. At this site, prospective travelers complete a detail profile in which they identify the cruise destinations of interest. This self-reported data is then recorded in TTK's Affluent Americans Database for rental of both postal and e-mail addresses.

The number of prospective cruisers in this file is currently 1,096,110, and the list rental fee is $100/M, plus $15/M for destination-related selects, such as the Caribbean and Mexico, and $15/M for behavioral selects, such as interests in fine dining or adventure travel. Geo-demographic selects are also available for an additional $10/M, and include the presence of children, of which more than one million are expected to cruise in 2005.

The new destination selects now available with this list include Antarctica, Arctic, Australia/New Zealand, Baltic Sea, Canada, Hawaii, Mediterranean, the Orient, Pacific Northwest, Panama Canal, the South Pacific and the United Kingdom.

This list has been successfully used by many of the major cruise lines for both e-mail and direct mail efforts to book sailings to specific destinations as well as themed cruises.
