Thomson Provides Broad Support for Oscar® Nominated Films of 2007

PARIS and BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - February 20, 2008) - Thomson (Euronext Paris: 18453; NYSE: TMS), through its Technicolor Services Division, today announced its contribution to 20 of the 44 theatrical and documentary features nominated for 2007 Academy Awards®. Key films serviced by Technicolor include three of the five films nominated for Best Picture - Michael Clayton, Juno and Atonement - and Ratatouille, nominated for Best Animated Feature of 2007. Other prominent motion picture features serviced include Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Transformers - both nominated for Best Visual Effects and other technical categories.

Technicolor's industry-leading innovations were also evidenced by the nominations for director Ridley Scott's American Gangster - the first major Hollywood feature to use Technicolor's new proprietary release-printing laboratory process, OZ.

Technicolor also provided key services to many of year's most prominent independently produced features cited by the Academy, including Away From Her, The Savages, August Rush, I'm Not There, and Sicko.

- Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street (DreamWorks/Paramount & Warner Bros.)

- 3:10 to Yuma (Lionsgate)

- Transformers (DreamWorks/Paramount)

The Services Division of Thomson provided a range of services for these nominated films, including Front-end Negative Processing, Digital Dailies, Visual Effects, Digital Intermediates, Sound Services, Theatrical Release Printing, Digital Cinema Mastering and/or Distribution, DVD Subtitling, DVD Compression & Authoring, and DVD Replication.

Previously, the Services Division of Thomson provided services for multiple theatrical feature films nominated for 2006 and 2005 Academy Awards. Technicolor served every 2005 Oscar nominated film for Best Motion Picture, Best Animated Feature Film, Achievement in Cinematography, and Achievement in Visual Effects.
