Thomson to Unveil NexGuard™ for Microsoft Windows Media® Video 9 at NAB 2007

First Forensic Marking Solution for Windows Media® Formatted Files Watermarks, Manages and Traces Digital Content

PARIS and BURBANK, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 20, 2007 -- Thomson (Euronext 18453; NYSE: TMS) today announced it is introducing the NexGuard™ forensic marking solution for Microsoft Windows Media® Video 9 (WMV 9), the first and only solution for the codec on the market. The NexGuard WMV 9 suite of tools is a comprehensive software package for deterring piracy of WMV 9 main profile-formatted files.

NexGuard for WMV 9 will be demonstrated at NAB 2007 and will be available summer 2007 for license by technology, networking and hardware manufacturers, or for purchase as a turnkey hardware and software solution by studios, broadcast and network operators.

It is also used by technology and networking companies for delivering files to consumers via the Internet.
