IBM Launches New Program to Help Businesses Address Information Management Challenges

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - IBM Information on Demand Conference -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced the industry's most comprehensive range of resources for Business Partners delivering Information on Demand solutions to the marketplace. To continue facilitating growth among this community, IBM is delivering a new partner program, the "IBM Business Partner Information on Demand Specialty." Through this new program, IBM will provide Business Partners with free access to its global sales experts, marketing resources and technical consultants, allowing them to bring their offerings to market more quickly and expand into new geographies.

IBM Business Partners have embraced IBM's Information on Demand initiative for business growth by delivering solutions in the market, celebrating a major milestone in its adoption. Today's news is in response to the growing demand IBM is seeing from its Business Partners seeking to participate in the success of Information on Demand by gaining competitive advantage in today's fast growing market for information management. IBM estimates that the market for Information on Demand will be worth $69 billion by 2009 (18 percent CAGR).

Effective immediately, this support will be available free of charge for business partners embracing IBM's Information on Demand initiative. IBM launched this initiative in February 2006 to help companies improve the way they leverage their information.
