Thousands of teddy bears are making the journey to kids in need

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 1, 2011) - On Monday, Dec. 5, thousands of teddy bears will be carefully loaded onto trucks and vans as they continue their journey to deserving kids in the Calgary area.

Suncor Energy will turn its Westhills Petro-Canada station into a teddy bear distribution point, where more than 50 charities will collect the thousands of bears thrown on the ice during the Calgary Hitmen's 17th annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss game the night before. The charities will then provide teddy bears to the children and families they serve.

As a result of last year's Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss game, more than 23,000 bears were distributed to kids who may not have otherwise had something special to open during the holiday season.
