Three Avtec Logging Recorder Vendors Earn Gold Qualification for Compatibility With Scout Dispatch Console Systems

Scout's Integration With Recording Technology From HigherGround, Exacom, and NICE Offers Extended Benefits in IP Dispatch Environments

LEXINGTON, SC--(Marketwired - March 23, 2016) - Avtec, a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) dispatch console systems, has awarded its "Works with Scout™" gold CE (console and endpoint metadata) qualification to three logging recorder vendors: HigherGround®, Exacom, and NICE, all of which completed testing on the latest version of Scout. The distinction reflects the high level of integration between the call recorders and Avtec's Scout voice dispatch consoles.

The gold qualification -- Avtec's top compatibility tier -- means that Scout is able to capture and play back audio, capture and display metadata, and filter and find recordings using metadata. Logging recorder capabilities such as these are critical to facilitate forensic incident reconstruction and investigation analysis. This is particularly vital in mission-critical settings such as 911 emergency call centers, and in critical infrastructure dispatch environments for utilities, airlines, and railroads.

"We appreciate the efforts of our logging recorder partners in ensuring maximum compatibility with Scout," said John Locatelli, Avtec's manager of product management. "Avtec's rigorous compatibility program requires more than 40 hours of stringent quality assurance testing. For those vendors whom are able to demonstrate their ability to seamlessly integrate with Scout, the achievement serves as a mark of assurance to our mutual customers, reducing their risk in purchasing our respective components."

Avtec's "Works with Scout" logging recorder compatibility testing program -- entering its fifth year of existence -- builds on the company's history of providing proven, trusted, and reliable dispatch solutions for mission-critical environments. Through the testing program, Avtec is able to provide customers with the freedom to choose the best solution for their call center. Additional vendors are expected to begin compatibility testing in 2016.

Applicants can earn one of three designations -- bronze, silver, or gold -- that reflect corresponding levels of investment and capability. More information about the program is available from Avtec's website: avtecinc.com.
