Three Grantham Staff to Present at CCME's "Crossroads in Military Education"

This Year's Annual Symposium Takes Place Feb. 10-13 in Savannah, Ga.

KANSAS CITY, MO--(Marketwired - Feb 7, 2014) - In less than a week, military educators will be flocking from across the country to Savannah, Ga., for the Council of College and Military Educators' (CCME) annual professional development symposium. This year's event themed, "Crossroads in Military Education," will feature former POW Jessica Lynch as keynote speaker, a golf tournament benefitting the Night Stalker Hero Memorial of Savannah Foundation, Inc., and over 60 concurrent training sessions.

During the concurrent sessions, three members of Grantham University's staff will serve as subject matter experts in discussions to benefit attendees as they work to support military and veteran students. These sessions are:

  • Best Practices for Military and Veterans Education: APSCU Study - Presented by Dr. Jeffrey Cropsey, vice president for strategic initiatives and external relations, and Michael Dakduk, vice president of military and veterans affairs, for the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU).
  • Creating and Sustaining a Cutting-Edge Military and Veteran Friendly Career Center - Presented by Shanna Fowler, career services manager.
  • Online vs. Face to Face Degrees for Veterans: What do Employers Think? Presented by Dr. Niccole Buckley, assistant chief academic officer and dean of the Mark Skousen School of Business.
