Thunder Energy Inc. Announces Stuart J. Keck, P. Eng. as New President and CEO

Thunder Energy Inc. (TSX:THY) The Board of Directors of Thunder Energy Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Stuart J. Keck, P. Eng. to the position of President and CEO. Mr. Keck will lead Thunder Energy Trust as it enters into the sector subsequent to the Shareholders vote on July 6, 2005 in respect of the proposed Plan of Arrangement. Mr. Doug Dafoe, current President and CEO, will assume the position of Non Executive Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Keck, who brings 26 years of industry experience to Thunder, comes most recently from a 4 1/2 year tenure with Centrica Canada Limited/Direct Energy Marketing Limited where he held various senior management positions including President of several of its operating subsidiaries, Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions (Upstream Gas) and Vice President, Engineering and Geology. During that time he managed a $250 million capital program, including the drilling of approximately 850 wells and was responsible for over 16,000 boe/d of production and $315 million in corporate acquisitions.

Mr. Keck will lead the Trust, as it generates stable and sustainable monthly distributions by focusing on high netback operations together with an active low-risk development drilling and exploitation program. The Trust estimates second half 2005 production will average 13,000 boe/d comprised of 50 mmcf/d natural gas and 4,700 bbls/d of crude oil and liquids.

The plan of arrangement whereby Thunder Energy Trust will be formed is expected to close on July 7 2005 with first day of trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange expected to be approximately July 15, 2005.
