Thunderbird Hires V.P. Operations

Thunderbird Energy Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TBD) (the "Company") announces that Michael Worthington P. Eng. of Calgary, Alberta has joined the Company as Vice-President of Operations. Mr. Worthington's principal obligations will be to oversee the Company's production operations in Utah and Kansas, and to design and implement the Company's 2007 drilling programs at both locations. In addition, Mr. Worthington will oversee the due diligence review of potential project acquisitions.

"We are thrilled to have Mike Worthington join us at this very exciting stage of the Company's development," stated Cam White, President of Thunderbird. "Mike brings to us a wide range of experience in various aspects of the exploration for and exploitation of both oil and natural gas."

Mr. Worthington has been granted incentive stock options to purchase 300,000 shares at a price of $0.30 per share.

Thunderbird Energy is a Canadian based oil and gas company that owns a 50% interest in the Gordon Creek producing natural gas field in the State of Utah, and a 50% interest in a producing oil project in Kansas, USA. Thunderbird's other holdings include a New Brunswick oil and gas exploration project adjacent to the Stoney Creek field.
