PANAMA, REPUBLIC OF PANAMA--(Marketwired - Jan. 19, 2014) - Thunderbird Resorts Inc. ("Thunderbird" or "Group") (EURONEXT:TBIRD)(FRANKFURT:4TR) is pleased to announce that our Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Alfred Meili as a director on our board until the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Dr. Meili completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at the University of St. Gallen and thereafter completed graduate studies in Law at the University of Zurich. Dr. Meili practiced law for 20 years successfully with the law firm Reichenbach & Associates in Zurich. Dr. Meili then built one of the largest real estate companies in Switzerland as founder, major shareholder, CEO and President of the Board of Directors. Dr. Meili is 67 years old and was born in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Dr. Meili's background as a lawyer and entrepreneur will certainly add value to the Company's business and will be a valuable asset to Thunderbird's board.
