Thuuz Launches Internationally With Five Major European Soccer Leagues; Tracking Match Excitement for UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Starting on February 15th

Soccer Fans Around the World Now Have Access to the Service That Alerts Them to the Best Action of the Day, Throughout the Year

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - Soccer fans around the world now have a new (and free) way to help them determine which matches and teams to watch. Today, Thuuz (www.Thuuz.com), a free online service that helps sports enthusiasts track excitement in sports, announced that it will begin alerting users to exciting games across six major European soccer leagues: UEFA Champions League, Barclay's Premier League, Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A and Germany's Budesliga.

With the rollout of European Soccer, Thuuz is solving a major problem for many fans in the United States, who often battle with inconvenient times of matches, and realize that recording games to watch later is their best solution. Thuuz allows fans to maximize their time, entertainment and the number of matches they can watch by alerting them to the most exciting matches and the recommended times they should tune in to join just as the excitement is starting to build.

"We've been tracking excitement among the major American sports leagues for the past several months and we can't wait to see the reaction from the international community to our service," said Thuuz Co-Founder and CEO Warren Packard. "Soccer is the most popular sport in the world -- watched by billions -- and it marks an important step toward our goal of tracking excitement across all sports, everywhere."

Thuuz's set of proprietary algorithms looks at a multitude of discrete events that can occur in each soccer match, from the typical to the unusual. Each of these events has an impact on the overall excitement rating of the match by taking into account the specific situation (match clock, score, players on the pitch and style of play) at the time the event occurred. Thuuz uses this to determine an excitement score for the match on a scale of 0-100, and then notifies users if the game is exciting, telling them the exact point they should watch the game from to catch all the excitement without giving anything away. Thuuz is already covering the NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, MLB, NFL and NCAA football, and will soon be launching its service for rugby, and many other sports.

Thuuz was recently profiled in the November 1, 2010 issue of Sports Illustrated.
