TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Achieves Reputed EAL2 Common Criteria Certification

Company Continues Drive to Meet Global Government Standards and Security Requirements

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - February 2, 2011) -  TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ has achieved Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL2) Common Criteria (CC) certification. The certification acknowledges that ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ adheres to the International Standards Organization (ISO) 15408 standard recognized by 26 nations, and required for selling into the U.S. government sector.

The U.S. CC certification program was established under the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), which is a joint venture between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Security Agency (NSA). Under the CC certification, products are evaluated according to strict standards for features such as security functionality and the handling of security vulnerabilities.

ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks is a standards-based service creation, orchestration, and integration product deployed by companies worldwide. It is the foundation for several of the largest mission critical service-oriented business applications in production, enabling companies to expose existing systems as services, build new services, and orchestrate and assemble services into applications with little or no coding.

TIBCO engaged Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as its Common Criteria Testing Laboratory, based on the organization's depth and breadth of security certification expertise and experience with the CC standard. SAIC's Common Criteria consulting, evaluation testing and Security Target authoring services helped TIBCO expedite the initiation, evaluation and certification of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks under the CC.
