Tiburon Announces Organizational Improvements & Additions to Enhance Client Services & Deliver on Its Public Safety Vision

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2011) - Tiburon, Inc., a leading provider of integrated public safety solutions, today announces several organizational upgrades and new additions to better serve its client services and delivery of its technology solutions to public safety agencies worldwide. Tiburon has created two organizations to deliver combined engineering and operational support, one focused on larger agencies managing highly tailored environments and the other focused on agencies with more standard needs. This improved organizational structure enables Tiburon to focus product expertise, deliver consistently excellent service and deploy timely products. A single sales organization comprised of combined expertise and sales experience will serve both markets.

The first engineering and operations organization, Tiburon TotalCommand focuses on delivering the traditional Tiburon solutions: Command CAD, MobileCOM, LawRECORDS, JailRECORDS and FireRECORDS. This organization has dedicated engineering and support resources to provide highly customized customer service expected and required by larger tier agencies with more complex and unique needs. Bob Brown, Executive Director leads Tiburon TotalCommand. Bob returns to Tiburon to assume this position following a long-standing, successful career in the industry. He is a highly experienced senior executive with outstanding client-focused skills and more than twenty-seven (27) years of Public Safety experience.

"The Public Safety industry, like other industries, faces a tremendous breadth of new technological advances -- like NG911 -- while also dealing with tougher economic circumstances, lower budgets and increasing public safety risks," said Jeffrey Stone, President & CEO of Tiburon. "As a company, we have to adjust and align our organization so that we can continue the highest quality product delivery and customer service. These organizational improvements allow us to face the challenges and the opportunities of a rapidly changing industry."

Tiburon's second engineering and operations organization covers DispatchNow, the prominent hosted (Software as a Service) and Next Generation 911-Ready (NG911) solution that combines high performance with lower overall ownership costs and all the benefits of "cloud delivery" and data security. This unit focuses on agencies with more standardized needs and budgets that differ from the larger agencies. Albert Israel, Tiburon's Vice President of Products & Operations, leads this organization. Israel has more than nineteen (19) years of Public Safety development and operations experience.

In support of the recent organizational improvement, Tiburon now has a dedicated, single organization responsible for Marketing, Product Marketing and Management, Proposals and Contracts. This unified team creates a single strategy and voice for the company to better serve Tiburon's existing and prospective clients. Ian Archbell now serves as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Ian was formerly the General Manager of DispatchNow, and brings thirty-six (36) years of software product development, product management and marketing experience to his new role.

"Tiburon's investment in providing the best quality solutions to agencies of all sizes, budgets and needs is paramount," says Archbell. "Our strategic planning has always been to deliver solutions that address the whole spectrum of public safety agencies and public safety technology needs, and having the improvements in our structure to support this mission puts us in the best position to deliver that successfully."

In addition to these improvements, Tiburon is planning to hire fifteen (15) additional team members to put increased focus on quality assurance, improved client support and product delivery. Most of these new positions will be based in Tiburon's Pleasanton, California headquarters.
