TicketLiquidator's Ticket of the Week: Jimmy Buffett Tickets

VERNON, CT--(Marketwire - February 20, 2010) - TicketLiquidator, the leading provider of the world's most extensive ticket inventory of hard-to-find, low-priced tickets, today announced that it now offers Jimmy Buffett tickets to his spring and summer outing, "Under the Big Top" in support of his twenty-eighth album, "Buffet Hotel," released in December 2009.

"Under the Big Top," Jimmy Buffett's thirty-fifth tour to date, will begin on April 1, 2010 at Sommet Center in Nashville, TN. The spring/summer-oriented Jimmy Buffett tour will follow the fall/winter "Summerzcool Tour" which ends on February 27, 2010 at Bank Atlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Buffett, raised in Mobile, Alabama, began his career as a country artist busking in New Orleans. It was a move to Key West in early seventies however, where he would adopt his "beach bum" persona combining country (tickets), folk, pop and tropical themes into a genre often called "gulf and western." Over the next twenty years, Jimmy Buffett gained a cult following of fans partially due to his tours, which boast a varied set list and laid back atmosphere.

Buffett has performed with Alan Jackson (tickets) and Mark Knopfler (tickets) and paid tribute to artists like Merle Haggard (tickets) in the past. He has released nearly thirty studio albums, ten of which have received gold and platinum status. Jimmy Buffett is as much known for his music as his business ventures, owning the Margaritaville Café and Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant chains. In addition, Buffett joined Anheuser-Busch to develop his own Land Shark Lager. He has also written multiple books, three of which have reached best-seller status on both the New York Times Best Sellers fiction list and non-fiction list.

"The 'Under the Big Top Tour' welcomes summer a bit early this year," stated Alexandra Owens, Media Relations, TicketLiquidator. "Audiences can expect favorites like 'Margaritaville' and 'A Pirate Looks At Forty' along with new material from his latest release."

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band typically play around thirty songs per show separated by a twenty minute intermission; two encores follow. A culture has been developed around pre-concert celebrations as audience members, typically called "Parrotheads" or "Land Sharks," celebrate the "island escapism" way of life. The "Under the Big Top Tour" will run through September 2010 -- Jimmy Buffett tickets are available now at
