TicketNetwork Advisory -- College Football Fans Ready for Upcoming Bowl Schedule

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT--(Marketwire - Dec 14, 2011) - In just a few days, the 2011-12 NCAA Bowl season is set to begin with exciting match-ups throughout the schedule.

To no one's surprise, the BCS Championship Game at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, LA, has the highest per ticket average of any game on the TicketNetwork Exchange*. That's because the title game features SEC rivals the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers, and both schools are within driving distance of the stadium. Individual tickets to the championship game are selling for an average of $1,722, more than five times the next closest bowl game.

Meanwhile, the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, TX, between the Kansas State Wildcats and Arkansas Razorbacks, marks the only Top 5 bowl game that is not a BCS game. This is partially due to the fact that this year's game is at Dallas Cowboys Stadium. The stadium is one of the largest in the world, and renowned for its amenities including its 11,520 square foot high-definition video board.

There are a total of 35 games on this season's bowl schedule, which kicks off on December 17th with three games: the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
