TicketNetwork Hosts Job Fair for Call Center Associates

Connecticut-Based Ticketing Company Seeks Sales Representatives

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2014) - TicketNetwork, a ticketing software provider, held an open house job fair at its South Windsor headquarters on Saturday, September 27, 2014. The open house attracted more than 45 applicants for regular and seasonal inbound sales representative positions in its call center.

September's job fair was very successful for the company and the event's attendees. "We had a very successful recruitment drive recently, where we made offers to 20 percent of the job seekers who walked through our door," said Mike Honeyman, TicketNetwork's COO.

The open house was part of a larger recruitment initiative by TicketNetwork. In the past two years, the company has added 120 employees and expects to fill another 64 call center, business operations, and sales positions over the next few months.

In addition to open houses, TicketNetwork has recruited at churches and partnered with groups like the CT NAACP and the CT Baptist Missionary Council to reach job seekers. Recently, TicketNetwork also sponsored a job fair at The First Cathedral in Bloomfield. "We feel it is important to go where the job seekers are, so we partnered with urban institutions to recruit through more non-traditional avenues," said Don Vaccaro, TicketNetwork's CEO and founder. "We have hired some very good employees from these job fairs and hope to continue to do so in the future."

Rev. LeRoy Bailey III of The First Cathedral appreciated the company's efforts. He said, "We want to create an atmosphere where people can discover their full potential through meaningful careers. The shared job fairs are powerful opportunities for individuals to reignite their future hopes and dreams."

"The NAACP promotes diversity and inclusion in business hiring and career advancement," said Scot X. Esdaile, President of the CT NAACP and a national board member. "By partnering with TicketNetwork to bring their recruitment to the inner city, we are working to meet our goals. It's a win for the company, the job seekers, and of course, the NAACP."
