Ticketscript introduces unique Facebook ticketshop

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) - Ticketscript, European leader in self service and mobile ticketing solutions, is the first to introduce a revolutionary way of selling tickets: the Facebook ticketshop. Organisers of events and concerts can now use Facebook as a sales channel via the quick and easy 'one click' integration of the ticketscript ticketshop.

Customers that buy tickets for an event through Facebook can communicate this to their complete network of friends with one click and automatically update their status with links to the Facebook ticketshop spreading the potential for ticket sales to an even greater number of people. As well as the standard integration of social plug-ins for advertising events, the Facebook ticketshop should lead to a boost in ticket sales, as the transaction takes place within Facebook itself.

"Ticketscript is proud to be the first English ticketing provider that includes Facebook as a standard sales channel." says Joep Lecluse, Group Marketing Director at ticketscript. "Recommending an event through a friend or relation via social media sites, such as Twitter and Facebook, results in the strongest form of sales. We believe that Facebook is the sales channel of the future and it sits seamlessly alongside the various other ticketscript sales and promotional channels."

"The new Facebook application from ticketscript offers us a new and powerful channel to reach our community." says Bob Reiche, founder of the Royal Beach Concert. "Visitors to our Facebook page are already familiar with the power of this medium. Now they are also able to buy tickets in a simple and secure environment for the next Royal Beach Concert."
