Tidal Software Names Distributed Computing Visionary Martin Milani as Chief Technology Officer

Technology Veteran to Lead Innovation for Convergence of Application Scheduling and Performance Management

PALO ALTO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 30, 2007 -- Tidal Software, a leading provider of application scheduling and performance management software, today announced the appointment of Martin Milani to Chief Technology Officer. Milani joined Tidal Software in 2006 through the acquisition of Intersperse Inc., a leading provider of monitoring and management solutions for the service-oriented enterprise, where he was president & CEO. An industry recognized thought-leader and expert on SOA, Milani brings more than 19 years of experience in distributed systems architecture, product design and development spanning the evolution of distributed systems.

Since joining Tidal Software, Milani has played a pivotal role in guiding the company to its leadership position in delivering comprehensive solutions for monitoring and managing SOA applications based on Java and .NET. In his expanded role, Milani will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for Tidal's product line, which help organizations streamline vital IT operations by automating and simplifying many of the complex and routine tasks involved in job scheduling and application performance management. Milani will be tasked with continuing Tidal's drive to build products that integrate many aspects of IT Operations, providing greater visibility and control of the end-to-end business process.

Prior to Intersperse, Milani was CTO of iBuilding, a Web services process-flow management and orchestration company where he led the design, development, product management, support and consulting teams. Milani was also at the Times Mirror Corporation, where he held the positions of Chief Internet Strategist and Technologist and Chief Enterprise Architect, responsible for technology decision-making such as Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), distributed and Web-based applications development, shared services, consolidation of data centers, wide area networks, systems and network management and security. Before joining Times Mirror, Milani held senior level technology, consulting and distributed systems architect positions at Wells Fargo Bank, IBM, Retix and Locus computing.
