Tidal Solutions Extend Reach of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 -- Demonstrations at Microsoft Management Summit 2007, Booth 332

Solutions Simplify Management of SAP and SOA Applications

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 28, 2007 -- MICROSOFT MANAGEMENT SUMMIT -- Tidal Software, a leading provider of application scheduling and performance management software, today announced it is demonstrating how Tidal solutions extend the reach of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 for the management and operation of SAP solutions and SOA applications. Featured application performance management products in Booth 332 include Tidal™ Horizon for SAP solutions on Microsoft's platform, and Tidal™ Intersperse for composite SOA applications on .NET.

"Working with industry partners such as Tidal Software to consolidate resources and deliver rich features that dramatically reduce the effort, time and costs associated with managing enterprise applications enables our customers to have greater visibility and control of their end-to-end IT services," said Carl Coken, director, Strategic Alliances, Management & Solutions Division at Microsoft.

Tidal supports Microsoft's holistic approach to operations management by putting performance management of SAP into Operations Manager 2007. The demonstration will preview Tidal Horizon integration with Operations Manager, and show how customers can use a single console to monitor SAP together with all of their other infrastructure and applications. Using a single console gives administrators a deep and broad view of their environment.

Tidal will also demonstrate Tidal Intersperse, a comprehensive solution for monitoring and managing SOA solutions on .NET. Tidal Intersperse simplifies monitoring and managing composite .NET and ERP applications by combining runtime monitoring across multiple application servers to create detailed end-to-end transaction monitoring within a single tool, enabling proactive detection of problems, fast root cause analysis, and provide for recovery to create self-healing solutions. Plans are underway to deliver Tidal Intersperse integration for Operations Manager 2007, making Tidal unique in putting application performance management into Operations Manager 2007 for both traditional ERP and newer composite SOA applications.

Additionally, Tidal will show how its scheduling solution, Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, combines with application performance management to better allocate production resources based on business priorities. Tidal's scheduling solution is the most extensible and offers deep integration with Microsoft solutions including Microsoft SQL Server in order to further simplify scheduling across the enterprise using a single solution.

"Microsoft's affordable solutions are playing a greater role in enterprise application deployments, both as a platform as well as by satisfying management and automation needs," said Rod Butters, senior vice president of marketing for Tidal Software. "With Tidal, Microsoft's solutions can more easily maintain service levels for traditional ERP and composite SOA applications, which enables IT to increase focus on aligning the applications with the business' dynamic needs."
