Tier 1 Southeast Asian Carrier Selects Evolving Systems' Dynamic SIM Allocation(TM) Solution

ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - June 16, 2009) - Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVOL), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and cable markets, today announced that a Southeast Asian carrier has selected the Company's Dynamic SIM Allocation™ solution to help streamline its SIM supply chain logistics, manage its number inventory and enable prepaid number selection.

The carrier selected Evolving Systems' Dynamic SIM Allocation solution after a competitive evaluation because of the solution's ability to manage SIM cards and numbers more effectively: the number is selected and assigned at point of sale, leaving a larger pool of available numbers for customers to choose from. The ability to select a number with cultural or personal significance is a feature welcomed by the carrier's pre-paid customers. In addition, the carrier operates under a regional numbering plan and all of its pre-paid SIM cards are currently pre-provisioned. However, with the Dynamic SIM Allocation solution pre-provisioning is unnecessary; the operator can distribute a single SIM card type across the whole country, so stock can be moved to meet changes in local demand, as a regional number will not be assigned until a card is sold. Evolving Systems' solution will offer the additional benefit of number choice to subscribers in rural areas where Internet coverage is limited, as the number can also be selected via the handset, rather than a sales terminal.
