Tiger Claw Demonstrates the Fastest Hidden Deck Fastener System Installation in the Industry at the 2007 International Builders' Show

ORLANDO, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 7, 2007 -- At the 2007 International Builders' Show, Tiger Claw Inc. demonstrates the fastest hidden deck fastener system installation on the market today. Tiger Claw's TC-G, when used on pre-grooved decking, beats the speed of traditional nails and screws as well as other hidden deck fastener systems. Attendees are invited to take the "Tiger Claw Challenge" at booth #S11331.

"Tiger Claw's goal has always been to offer homeowners, DIYers and builders ease-of-installation, superior hold-down strength and a beautiful nail-free surface," said David Hartmann, President of Tiger Claw Inc. "Now, we offer speed of installation as well. Builders can increase their profit margins by decreasing the amount of time spent on installing surface boards. With the TC-G and pre-grooved boards, it's a quick and efficient process, even for first-time Tiger Claw users."

The TC-G was designed to eliminate the need for conventional plastic biscuits currently used in deck building. The TC-G is made from .060' thick annealed 304 stainless steel and won't rust. The black oxide coating makes it nearly invisible between deck boards, the fastener also allows for 1/8" expansion or contraction of decking boards. In addition it offers stronger hold-down power than plastic fasteners.

Tiger Claw hidden deck fasteners create a smooth "nail-free" surface, which preserves the beauty of the decking material and reduces splitting, splintering, cupping, and rotting. With the recent addition of the TC-G for pre-grooved lumber, Tiger Claw now has a fastener for all types of decking.

"Anybody that is stepping up from using pressure-treated lumber would want to use hidden fasteners if they knew they existed," said Adam Weeks, Parksite product manager. "Amazingly a lot of people buy very expensive wood or composite decking and put screws through it. They may not be aware of hidden fasteners, but once they become aware, they definitely want to use them. There are also some installers who may be reluctant to try hidden fasteners because of their comfort level with nails and screws, but after they become comfortable, they love them because it's an up-sell for their business."

"At Tiger Claw, we firmly believe that our hidden deck fasteners will change the way people build decks," said Dave Martel, Tiger Claw's Vice President and Product Development Manager. "Homeowners won't be satisfied with a marred surface anymore, no matter how little they may spend on the lumber. Builders won't be satisfied with the labor-intensive process of pounding in nails every six inches or pre-drilling holes. They'll want a hidden deck fastening system that is easy-to-use, fast-to-install and durable. And that's Tiger Claw."

Take the Tiger Claw Challenge at IBS booth #S11331. The challenge involves two stations. One is manned by a Tiger Claw representative or show attendee using the TC-G on pre-grooved decking material while the other is manned by a show attendee using two screws on a surface board. Best times will be posted throughout the day. The interactive demonstration will be held throughout the Builders' Show. The Tiger Claw booth was constructed using the TC-G Hidden Fastener and Fiber Composites pre-grooved deck boards.

About Tiger Claw hidden deck fasteners

Tiger Claw offers a complete line of innovative and versatile hidden deck fasteners. The TC-2 deck fastener is ideal for soft woods and pressure treated lumber. The TC-3 is used with composite decking materials such as Trex and Fiberon and medium density mahogany. The TC-4 is perfect for exotic hardwood decking lumber like Ipé and Teak. The TC-P is used with cellular PVC decking materials. The TC-G offers the fastest installation available today with pre-grooved decking or square edge boards using a router or biscuit joiner.

Tiger Claw's patented fastener design has a simple "topside" installation. Constructed from hardened heavy gauge stainless steel that's compatible with new pressure treated chemicals for lumber, these unique fasteners offer outstanding hold-down power and ease-of-use. They create a smooth "nail-free" surface, which preserves the beauty of the wood and reduces splitting, splintering, cupping, and rotting.
