Tiger Street Football to Delight More Fans Across Asia-Pacific

Returning for a Third Year, Tiger Street Football Expands to Seven Countries, Including for the First Time Cambodia, Mongolia and Australia; Ballon d'Or Winner Fabio Cannavaro Signs on as Tournament Ambassador

SINGAPORE--(Marketwire - Feb 21, 2013) - Tiger Street Football, the highly anticipated five-a-side football tournament that pits the best local teams against the finest international street teams in a customised oval cage, returns this year with an even louder roar. Organised by Tiger Beer in partnership with FOX SPORTS Event Management team, the competition will expand to seven key cities across the region, an increase from the five in 2012 and also see legendary Italian football superstar Fabio Cannavaro coming on board as the official Tournament Ambassador.

Over 7,500 players from 1,500 teams took part last year, and this year's edition of Tiger Street Football will look to significantly increase the level of participation across the region with the competition being brought to three additional cities in Cambodia, Australia and Mongolia. Keeping with the international world-class stature of the tournament, street football teams from Argentina, England, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Sweden and the defending champions from Tiger Street Football 2012, Brazil, will participate in the competition.

The tournament, dubbed as 'The Biggest Football Festival in Asia,' promises an even more exciting and memorable experience for fans with its carnival-like atmosphere. It will feature top-notch entertainment with appearances by the ever-popular Tiger Cage Girls, along with street-style performers and various urban artists at each leg similar to last year's featured performances from two world-class football freestyle champions, Sean Garnier and Nam the Man, in Thailand and Vietnam respectively.

"Building on the tremendous reception from the past two years, we are thrilled to bring the unique Tiger Street Football experience including spectacular displays of inventive, non-stop football action to even more cities across the region," said Mr Edmond Neo, Director, Group Commercial Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd. "By tapping into the pulse of bustling Asian megacities, we aim to strengthen our commitment towards developing the game across the region and bringing an unrivalled lifestyle experience to fans."

Added Mr Harvey Davis, Vice President, FOX SPORTS Event Management, "We are delighted that Tiger Street Football has resonated so greatly with football fans across the region, and now entering new markets and winning over new fans in Cambodia, Mongolia and Australia for the first time. We are further committed to help bring Tiger Beer's vibrant brand image alive on-ground in these new countries while leveraging our expanded broadcast network offerings under FOX International Channels to bring this marquee event to an even wider audience across the region. We are heartened by Tiger Beer's enthusiasm and commitment to take this event to greater heights."
