Tilera, Virident and AIC Deliver 8x Faster HD Video Transcoding With TILE-Gx Manycore at NAB

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 11, 2012) - Tilera® Corporation, the leader in 64-bit manycore general purpose processors, AIC Inc., a leading provider of OEM/ODM server and storage solutions and Virident Systems, a performance leader in flash-based storage class memory (SCM) solutions, today announced that they will demonstrate HD video encoding and decoding performance acceleration made possible with energy efficient 36-core TILE-Gx™ processor at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas, NV, April 16-19, 2012.

WHAT: Tilera, Virident and AIC will demonstrate video transcoding performance acceleration with Tilera's 36-cores TILE-Gx™ -- using a Tilera video acceleration card integrated into AIC's SB301-TO server featuring Max IO™ technology.
