Time to Redeem Old TTC Tickets

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 31, 2006) - A TTC fare increase takes effect on April 1, 2006. (See chart below for details).

A new style of ticket will be issued on April 1, 2006. Current tickets may be used until April 30, 2006, with the addition of 10 cents for adults and an additional 5 cents for seniors and students. No additional cash will be required for children's tickets. Current tickets with cash will not be accepted after April 30, 2006.

Beginning on April 3, 2006, the old tickets can be redeemed for cash value by attending in person at TTC Metropass Discount Plan Office, 1900 Yonge Street between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. From May 1 to June 30, 2006 customers can also redeem old tickets at Bloor-Yonge Station. (Collector Booth, Bloor Street south side). The booth will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ticket refunds will also be available by mail. Send old tickets to TTC Accounts Payable, 1900 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M4S 1Z2.
