Time Warner Cable Selects Chordiant for Strategic Real-Time Decision Management

Delivers Analytics and Strategic Decisioning to Improve Subscriber Cross-Sell, Up-Sell and Retention

CUPERTINO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 19, 2005 -- Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD), a solutions leader in automating and managing operational marketing processes for leading service-driven organizations, today announced that Time Warner Cable has selected the Chordiant Decision Management suite to automate and improve the effectiveness of its multi-channel Cross-sell, Up-Sell and Retention initiatives as part of its Customer Value Creation (CVC) roadmap. Time Warner Cable created the CVC roadmap to deliver an effective and consistent customer service center experience across each of its 31 divisions. As part of the CVC roadmap, Time Warner Cable selected Chordiant Marketing Director as well as the Chordiant Enterprise Platform and has been a Chordiant customer since March 2004.

Time Warner Cable owns and manages cable systems serving 10.9 million subscribers in 27 states, which include some of the most technologically advanced, best-clustered cable systems in the country with more than 75% of the company's customers in systems of 300,000 subscribers or more.

The CVC roadmap has been created to identify initiatives that best support achieving its business objectives of enhanced growth through improvements in acquisition, cross-sell/up-sell, retention, customer satisfaction, and sales and service efficiency.
