Timeslips by Sage 2010 Helps Service-Based Businesses Turn Time Into Increased Revenue

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA--(Marketwire - June 23, 2009) - Accurately tracking time spent on clients is what counts the most when it comes to service-based professionals. An easy-to-use time and billing solution is fundamental in running a business smoothly and increasing revenue.

The latest version of an industry-leading time and billing solution, Timeslips by Sage 2010, launched today with more features and enhancements in reporting and billing to help businesses keep track of their clients and streamline how they manage time-to-revenue. Timeslips by Sage 2010 is part of a wide portfolio of business management software and services from Sage whose products serve more than 5.8 million small and mid-size businesses worldwide.

"Time is money, especially for businesses that charge for services," said Sam Hunter, general manager, Timeslips by Sage. "Being able to trust a software solution that helps maximize the return on billable hours is what professionals need, and that's why so many businesses trust Timeslips. This latest version will help service-based professionals improve their experience in converting time to revenue."

The new features and enhancements to Timeslips 2010 will allow professionals to:

-- Prevent lost revenue with a new Clients Not Billed Report that
identifies which clients have not been billed as of a certain date
-- Hand-select the data that should be purged from the database, to keep
cleaner records and stay on top of current customers
-- Create new numeric custom fields such as percent, money, number or
hours that can be assigned to custom values and can be associated with
specific names, allowing for more powerful custom report calculations
-- Export reports to Microsoft Excel with a new "Print to Excel as
displayed" function that will resemble the printed report, which will allow
for more accuracy when comparing reports
-- Create customizable email templates to create their own messages in
the body and in the text of an email, which will help clients more easily
    identify bills when they arrive

With Timeslips 2010, professionals can also customize the bills produced with a number of additional fields, such as last bill date, last payment amount and last payment ID. Reviewing time and expense entries, also known as "slips," is easier with new free-form text notes that help search for conflicts of interest, and are also included on user-defined reports. The reporting has also been simplified with a new Default Billing Report that shows specific rates for each client, making reporting easy, concise and fully customizable.
