Timothy Evans of Traverse City Home Inspections Launches Spring Program to Support Disabled American Veterans

Traverse City Home Inspections ( owner Timothy Evans is pleased to announce that he will be donating 10% of all Traverse City Home Inspections' April and May revenue to Disable American Veterans (DAV)

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN--(Marketwired - March 27, 2015) - Timothy Evans, owner of Traverse City Home Inspections (, a Traverse City home inspection company that serves the west Michigan counties of Leelanau, Antrim, Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, Kalkaska, and Grand Traverse, is pleased to announce a spring program in support of Disable American Veterans (DAV). During the months of April and May 2015, Timothy Evans will donate 10% of all Traverse City Home Inspections revenue to DAV.

"I'm doing it for two reasons. First of all I am a veteran, and I understand the importance of the DAV organization and the good work that they do. My other reason is that there is a real need out there to help out of the service veterans who have put their lives on the line for their country, and many need help. It might be as simple as helping to fill out paperwork for benefits or something as serious as aiding veterans who are living on the streets out in the cold who need assistance with many issues. Disabled veterans in need deserve our help, and this is something that I can do to show my appreciation for their service and sacrifice. It's not a lot, but it's something I can manage on my own and help as a small business owner. I'm hoping this will create some level of veteran needs awareness in Michigan, and perhaps others will follow suit in some fashion," explains Timothy Evans.

DAV ( is a long standing and respected organization dedicated to helping veterans. They offer free professional assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining their benefits earned for military service via Veterans Affairs and other US Government agencies. They also provide outreach services like the DAV mobile service offices that travel to towns across the country to assist veterans that don't have easy access to services where they live. In addition, they provide information seminars on specific veterans' services. These seminars are conducted around the country by skilled National Service Officers who can help with claims filing and counseling services. DAV also provides homeless veterans services. These services are free of charge, and veterans do not have to be DAV members to receive them.

"Almost every community, including Traverse City Michigan, has a local DAV chapter that meets to discuss issues and to help local veterans in need get plugged into resources. It's a well-established network of much-needed expertise that is dedicated to veterans and veteran family assistance, but they do need private sector funding donations to do their good work. Early in June 2015 we will make our donation based on 10% of our spring sales, and we hope that translates into a healthy and helpful donation to DAV," adds Evans.
