Tintri Certified for Microsoft Private Cloud Fast Track

Tintri Also Recognized With Gold-Level Data Center Competency and Windows Server 2012 Certification

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 22, 2015) - Tintri Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, today announced its certification in the Microsoft Private Cloud Fast Track program. The Fast Track program is a reference architecture that acknowledges Tintri has met Microsoft's specifications for building private clouds based on Windows and Hyper-V -- helping virtualized enterprises scale with preconfigured, validated platforms.

In addition to embracing and extending the value provided by Microsoft private cloud, Tintri also received certification for Windows Server 2012 R2, and the only Gold-level data center competency among next generation storage companies, recognizing best-in-class capability within the Microsoft Partner Network. These accomplishments expand upon Tintri's native support of Microsoft's SMB 3.0 protocol and integration with Hyper-V Manager and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). To earn these distinctions, Tintri had to pass technology assessments and submit customer references from Tintri's rapidly growing base of customers using Microsoft for virtualization.

"Running Hyper-V on Tintri has been an excellent experience," said Luke Schwingler, System Administration Manager at MetaBank. "We performed a very long test run of Tintri to make sure we could easily create our file shares and VMs on the new platform. The Tintri system is performing extremely well in our virtual environment. And even though the Tintri platform is really great now, new features just keep coming."

These accomplishments arrive on the heels of Tintri's newly announced products, including the Tintri VMstore T5000 All-flash series, Tintri VMstack™ Converged Infrastructure, Tintri OS 4.0 and Tintri Global Center 2.1. The new products will enable customers to optimize Microsoft virtualized workloads and applications, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange and SharePoint, across T5000 All-flash and T800 Hybrid-flash systems.

"The benefits of Tintri VM-aware storage are fully available for the growing number of Microsoft Hyper-V-based private cloud customers," said Andrew Lee, EVP Alliances of Tintri. "And now we're delivering those benefit to end users with a validated, pre-configured, Fast Track certified solution."
