'Tiny Home' Option for Affordable Home Ownership on Display in Brockville

BROCKVILLE, ON--(Marketwired - October 23, 2015) - Green Terra Homes has been cordially invited by Transition Brockville to display one of our Tiny Homes this Sunday afternoon, October 25, in the public parking lot opposite the Brockville Public Library. Green Terra Homes' Mobile 192-square-foot tiny home (the Park model) will be on display from early afternoon and GTH members will be on hand to discuss the subject of tiny homes, and specifically the tiny homes manufactured by the GTH manufacturing plant in Trenton, ON.

Anyone wanting to learn more about tiny homes and the model on display is welcome to attend the free presentation at 2 p.m. in the Brockville Public Library meeting room located at 23 Buell St., Brockville, ON K6V 5T7. In addition, a planner with the City of Brockville planning department will be on hand to answer questions on zoning for such homes during the question and answer period following GTH's presentation. Following the presentation, there will be a Q & A session, refreshments will be served, and then people can go out and have a good look at the tiny home on display.

The tiny home movement has been growing in recent years and can be the solution for people seeking affordable options for seasonal living, guest houses, or just a simple, off-grid, sustainable lifestyle. Green Terra Homes CSA approved steel frame prefab modular homes and steel buildings provide a convenient, simple, green and fun DIY framing alternative to existing wooden frame options. Each Green Terra Home is fabricated utilizing reclaimed steel from an average of six recycled cars. Green Terra Homes saves an average of 40 trees with each steel frame home and steel building manufactured at their Trenton Ontario Plant.
