Tira Wireless Adds New Distribution Options to Tira Jump 2008

Enables Developers to Distribute Content Directly to End Users

SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) - The distribution of mobile applications to consumers is largely controlled by operators and portals, making it challenging for smaller developers without channel relationships to get their titles to market. To help developers overcome these roadblocks, Tira Wireless today announced it has bolstered the distribution capabilities in Tira Jump 2008 with its new Jump Distribution Service. Using this service, developers will be able to quickly and easily distribute applications directly to end users.

The following key Jump Distribution Service features are now available in Tira Jump 2008:

- Content Discovery - Developers can create a WAP URL for application downloads or provide an embedded link in a Web site ("Send this to my Phone");

- Dynamic Device Detection - Dynamic device detection capabilities will automatically link users to content appropriate for their mobile handset;

- Content Delivery - This feature provides easy-to-follow instructions that developers can use to configure their own Apache Download Server, as well as package applications into zip files that can be copied to the Download Server;

- Content Distribution Reports - Tira Wireless will provide a web portal where developers can access summary reports.

"To monetize content, developers need to get their titles into the hands of end users. Unfortunately, today's complex mobile ecosystem creates high barriers to distribution, especially for those that are new to mobile," said Juan Dewar, CEO of Tira Wireless. "Our strategy is to make it easy for content providers to effectively manage all aspects of the mobile content lifecycle, which includes distribution. With the Jump Distribution Service, developers now have additional options they can use to get their titles to market."

With the addition of the Jump Distribution Service, content providers can now use Tira Jump 2008 to develop, port and distribute mobile applications using multiple methods, and through on- and off-deck channels, from one integrated environment. The Jump Distribution Service also measures the effectiveness of a distribution program by easily tracking and measuring the download activity of each mobile application.

Next quarter, Tira Wireless will also add referral capabilities to the Jump Distribution Service. This feature will enable users to recommend mobile content to friends from within an application, while making content discovery a simple process for recipients. Using dynamic detection capabilities, recipients of recommendations will automatically be linked to the exact off-deck content location for their specific handset.

Tira Jump 2008 is at the core of the Mobile Content Lifecycle Management solution offered by Tira Wireless. The comprehensive solution helps content providers overcome the challenges of mobile deployment by facilitating the market planning, development, adaptation, testing and distribution of mobile applications. The addition of the Jump Distribution Service builds on existing distribution options provided in Tira Jump 2008, including direct submission to select mobile operator portals, and off-deck distribution and billing through Bango. The new Jump Distribution Service is powered by Cascada Mobile's award winning technology.

Developers can test drive the Jump Distribution Service by downloading the Tira Jump 2008 - Go Mobile Edition™, a free, downloadable version of Tira Wireless' development and porting platform for Java ME applications (https://register.tirawireless.com/).
