Titan Energy Worldwide Delivers Emergency Power System for New Medical Facility Development in Suburban Minneapolis

MINNETONKA, MN--(Marketwire - September 18, 2008) - Titan Energy Worldwide (OTCBB: TEWI) announced today that its subsidiary, Titan Energy Systems, has delivered an emergency power system to the Park Nicollet Melrose Institute, a new 67,000 sq. foot medical facility dedicated to the treatment of eating disorders and located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. Titan Energy Systems is a full line sales and service provider of power generation equipment with headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota and satellite offices in Nebraska and Iowa.

Titan Energy Systems will provide a 350kW standby power system to the three-story Melrose Institute which has been recognized as a high impact commercial real estate project and the winner of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal's 2007 award for Best Medical Office Development. The standby diesel generator, manufactured by Generac Power Systems of Waukesha, WI, will provide emergency power to the medical facility within 10 seconds of an outage and includes two circuit breakers, rated at 250 amp and 500 amp to divide up the power. The generator will be installed in a sound attenuated weatherproof enclosure and include a 24", 438 gallon fuel tank to give this generator the capability to run for 16 hours continuously at 100% load. Additionally, there will be (2) GE/Zenith 4 pole automatic transfer switches installed with the unit, one 600 amp and one 260 amp, to continually monitor the incoming utility to quickly restore power should an outage occur.
