Tizor Introduces New Payment Card Industry (PCI) Standard Monitoring Templates

Mantra Simplifies Compliance and Auditing for All Major Credit Card Activity

MAYNARD, MA--(Marketwire - September 5, 2007) - Tizor Systems, the leading provider of enterprise data auditing and protection solutions for the data center, announced today the availability of new Payment Card Industry (PCI) templates for auditing all user interaction with cardholder data in databases, file servers and mainframes. Designed to make it easier for companies to comply with the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) and offered as part of Tizor's Mantra auditing solution, the templates provide the most universal out-of-the-box data auditing policies to enable customers to quickly become PCI-compliant.

Developed by leading credit card companies, the PCI DSS establishes a common framework on how companies handling credit card data should protect that information. Although it has been established and enforced for several years, companies are still struggling to comply. Recent high profile data breaches have prompted renewed commitment to the standard and a scramble to protect sensitive data.

PCI security is enforced through annual audits, and non-compliant organizations face a broad range of penalties including large fines. The standard centers on requirements for protecting credit card data, the majority related to data auditing. With millions of cardholders and billions of data access events, meeting this requirement presents a major business challenge. Many organizations are looking for a PCI data auditing solution like Mantra that can capture, manage, and report on event data that links specific users with critical data activity, without a dramatic investment of time or resources to implement.

"Tizor's PCI templates provide what companies need to get started to support and maintain PCI-compliant data auditing policies," said PCI auditor James DeLuccia. "By addressing the main, most universal data auditing policies out-of-the-box, Tizor eliminates the time, cost and guesswork many companies associate with PCI auditing policies."

Tizor's Mantra provides the monitoring, auditing and reporting mandated by PCI. Mantra's PCI Policy Template offers pre-configured policies and enables compliance with many of the key PCI requirements immediately upon deployment. Mantra's discovery capabilities quickly locate PCI data wherever it resides on the enterprise data center. With rich reporting and automated analytics, Mantra helps to isolate potential PCI noncompliance and unauthorized cardholder access and activity. In addition, Tizor has added new policies that will allow companies to search for any activity for all major credit cards, including American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and Japanese Credit Bureau. Mantra can now scan for any database transaction that contains credit card numbers. Any time it identifies a credit card number on a command or in a result/response, Mantra will audit the event and send an alert if necessary.

"Data breaches continue to take place because many companies don't know where credit card numbers reside in the data center, and consequently don't know when activity is taking place that affects this data," said Joel Rosen, CEO Tizor Systems. "Many enterprises want to automate the auditing of cardholder data but are leery of the learning curve and man hours associated with creating auditing policies. Mantra's PCI template is designed to take the pain out of PCI compliance."

Tizor already supports the data auditing and compliance efforts of major financial service organizations, brand name retailers, Global 2000 manufacturing and service firms, and technology product and service companies.
