TM3 Systems Partners With Michigan CAT to Power 2014 ITS World Congress Demos

Tech Start-Up Will Distribute Generator Power to Hi-Technology Demos on Belle Isle

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwired - September 05, 2014) - Belle Isle has been home to hundreds of major events over the years, but none requiring the amount of power necessary for over 40 hi-tech automotive demonstrations, which will take place as part of the 2014 Intelligent Transportation Society's World Congress, September 7-11.

Since the cost of remote power is always a consideration when planning "off-grid" events, Michigan CAT, one of the state's largest suppliers of and expert in power generation equipment, will partner with TM3 Systems, makers of intelligent power distribution and control equipment.

"We are very excited to partner with Michigan CAT for the 2014 ITS World Congress," says Nate Lowery, President of TM3 Systems. "Our products already have an established track record with the military, delivering efficient power to off-grid and remote locations. This is an opportunity to engage with a top-tier commercial partner to expand our capabilities."

With the addition of the TM3 Systems equipment, Michigan CAT can monitor, control and efficiently distribute power to the high-power demonstrations during the week. These demonstrations will also take place at Atwater Parking, NextEnergy and COBO Center, the official site of the World Congress.

"The many demonstrations during the ITS World Congress require dependable energy. Michigan CAT provides that dependable power and TM3 Systems will help us monitor efficiencies in distribution," says Michelle Mueller, Senior Project Manager of Michigan Department of Transportation.

"The scale of the 2014 ITS World Congress requires several of our generators to be placed throughout downtown Detroit," says Aaron Suzore of Michigan Caterpillar. "By partnering with TM3 Systems, we can now monitor and control our distribution systems remotely, providing opportunities to optimize the power being used."

More than 10,000 attendees from around the globe will be able to experience the very latest technology in the automotive and transportation industries.
